First Non FIction Book Published

My first non fiction book Luv'n Horses published today.  It was written for horse loving riders like me who have some fear - a little or a lot.  I hope that my experiences help people to overcome their fears so that they can more fully enjoy their wonderful horses.

This is the link to go to for a full description.
CreateSpace eStore: https://www.createspace.com/4098722.

The book will be available in paperback on Amazon as well and in a Kindle edition.

It is a relatively short book and priced accordingly.

Thank you.

Free download of A Place Called Locke

I forgot to post on my blog that the Kindle edition of A Place Called Locke, the newest Delta mystery is available now through Tuesday.  Following is the synopsis:

The quiet nicker of a horse, the song of nightbirds, a chorus of frogs - the background to sleep on tranquil Sutter Island - are replaced by the ringing of a phone.  From Mexico comes a desperate plea disguised as a casual request.

A young doctor has fallen in love with the wrong woman.  His love will lead him into a web of deceit and danger as he is forced to become part of a plan to smuggle drugs up the California coast.

In The Delta, Jessie Red Cloud is returning to her work as a Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy, unaware that she and her friend and former partner Bodie McDonald are about to be drawn into a secretive task force, led by a man who trusts no one.

Two groups of people are on a collision course, one that will lead them to a deadly confrontation in the quiet backwater behind a place called Locke.

Thank You to a Reader

I received this wonderful message from a reader and wanted to share:

To my friend Robert Lauersdorf Wilder and others who may not get back "home" often enough. Ms. Klengler's books called Maggie Ryan Volumes One and Two will bring home to you. I have read them and went back to Red Arrow, Henes Park, Mickey Lu's, UW-Marinette, etc. I read many books but never had such an experience as when I read those. Also, it was on this page that I became aware of them and our home town author. Thank you for the experience Ms. Klengler!

The reader is George Dobbins.  He is from my home town, but we have never met.  His words were especially welcome as Maggie Ryan could be dismissed as a "woman's story" although it is more a family saga and a remembrance of a place and time past.  Thank you George.
